The Artisan in Plumbing Engineering programme is designed to include the understanding of maintaining and installing plumbing systems, plumbing practices and plumbing codes. The programme provides students with an in-depth understanding of equipments and tools used in plumbing, health and safety practices involved and water supply systems. Students also gain an understanding of what a career in plumbing engineering entails.
After successful completion of the course, the learners will be able to take up roles in the service sector. Graduates of Artisan in Plumbing Engineering go on to become Building Inspectors, Maintenance Officers, Plumbing Engineers and Plumbing Technicians. The course equips students with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. At the end of the course, the learners can choose to either take a NITA or a KNEC exam.
