This four year Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences has been designed to meet the market demand in training information specialists who will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to manage libraries, information centres, and other resources in a changing environment that is fast embracing the use of IT. Taken on-campus at the Kenya Methodist University, this programme focuses on key topics within the field, such as Inventory Management, Operations Research, and Data Communication, and includes eight weeks of an industrial attachment.

Admission Criteria

To be eligible for this course, students must be a holder of either: 

  • KCSE certificate (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English
  • KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes, and a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics at KCE
  • Diploma or professsional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution recognised by the University Senate
  • Any other qualification accepted by the KeMU Senate as equivalent to any of the above
