This eighteen month BSc. Health Profession Education (HPE) is an upgrading programme that admits students with a diploma or degree in any health profession (nursing, clinical medicine, medical laboratory science, pharmacy, physiotherapy etc.) from an institution recognised by MMUST Senate. This is the only programme of its kind offered in the region and is taken on campus and aims to use a blended mode of delivery. Graduates from the programme have good prospects and are all absorbed and appointed as medical teachers or leaders in the majority of Kenya's health training institutions.
