This option equips the student with adequate knowledge and skills in aviation as a professional pilot leading to acquiring Private Pilot License (PPL) and Commercial Pilot Lincense (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR) offered by Kenya Civil Aviation authority. In addition a student takes course in Aviation Safety and Aviation Management and may pursue them to Postgraduate degrees.

What are the admission criteria?

A candidate must have a minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) in KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University senate and have:

C+ (Plus) in Mathematics
C+ (Plus) in Physics
C+ (Plus) in English and
C+ (Plus) in Geography/Chemistry

A candidate must be a holder of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education with two Principals (2P) and one subsidiary and two of the principal subjects must be any two of Mathematics, Physics or Geography/chemistry or its equivalent from Institutions recognized by Moi University Senate. In addition a candidate should have at least credit four in English at ‘O’ Level.
In addition they must meet the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Medical Certificate (2nd Class) requirements for the Pilot Licenses
