Course Overview

This two year Master of Arts in Religious Studies aims to give students an in-depth understanding of the complex nature and function of religion within the lives of individuals, communities, societies, and cultures. Under the guidance of passionate and experienced lectures, students will have the opportunity to gain conceptual analysis skills, research capabilities, and a broad appreciation of religious beliefs so that they are well prepared for career opportunities in areas such as civil service, the non-profit sector, and the business world.

A Master of Arts in Religious Studies will prepare you to work in Kenya's multicultural society and participate meaningfully in the global economy. In addition, knowledge about diverse religious traditions and their historical roots, and an increased awareness of different cultural values, provides a solid foundation for a variety of careers and community engagement. If this sounds like an interesting path to you, then this on-campus course will help you make connections between faith and modern intellectual developments and reflect on your own professional practice to enhance your confidence and employability.
