The Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management is a multidisciplinary programme. The programme is open to graduates of various backgrounds who meet the Moi University minimum entry requirements.
This programme has been developed to satisfy needs in both the private and public sector. The programme is for the entrepreneurs, project managers, officer’s in charge of income generating projects within organizations, general business practitioners and professionals. The programme is aimed at equipping students with skills, quantitative techniques and understanding of successful development and effective management of projects.

The Programme aims at providing the students with knowledge and skills that will enable them to;
Conceptualize, perceive, start and develop projects.
Understand analytical tools, principles and concepts of project identification, appraisal, implementation and review.
Equip students with skills necessary to identify the needs of a particular area and to develop projects to meet these needs.
Provide sufficient knowledge to implement projects effectively according to plans.
Provide skills and knowledge in monitoring and evaluating the performance and impact of development projects.
Students will be admitted on the common Moi University regulations for postgraduate diploma programmes. In addition, the postgraduate diploma in public relations applicant must have either:
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree with at least a lower second class honours or its equivalent from a recognized university, or
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree with a pass from a recognized university with at least 2 years working experience in any of the following areas: Media Studies; Human Resource Development; Social Sciences and languages; Public Relations/Administration; Education with a bias in linguistics and social sciences; Administration/Personnel Management or any other qualification recognized by Senate as equivalent to the above.
