Course Overview

This ten day training course seeks to enhance the skills of participants using both qualitative and quantitative research approaches when undertaking any projects, programmes, research, and feasibility studies. Taken at the Versed Training Facility in Nairobi, the training will cover ways to undertake research with a particular attention to collecting and analysing both qualitative and quantitative data, the use of Information Technology for data collection (Mobile Based Data Collection using ODK), data management analysis, and interpretation of empirical results. The focus of this training is therefore to enable participants to learn how to use Stata for qualitative data management and analysis, and NVivo software for qualitative data management and analysis.

Organisations of all sizes and scales, across nearly every industry, now utilise systems and processes that automatically aggregate and collect vast amounts of data. But for this information to have any real value that employers can use to gain a competitive advantage, companies need professionals who are capable of analysing and interpreting it in meaningful ways, creating a high demand for individuals with SPSS and NVivo skills.
