This course builds on "Urban Design (1)" and aims to provide students with fundamentals and principles of urban planning and design. It explains the logic behind elements contributing to form cities. This course also improves students' ability to critically evaluate both the process of city planning and specific and general problems facing cities. Students will also learn how to deal with such civic issues from the standpoint of sustainable planning and urban design. In addition, they will develop management, organizing and prioritizing skills necessary for decision-making process related to urban planning and design problems and solutions.
