ABOUT AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES

African Institute of Research and Development Studies is a prime tertiary technical institution in Kenya, offering Higher National Diploma, Diploma, Certificate and artisan courses approved by KNEC and KASNEB with multiple campuses all over Kenya. The school was established in 2006 and has been operational since.
Facilities offered by the school are a well-stocked library with short and long term loan books, computer labs with high speed internet, an adequate transport department and field trips. AIRADS believes that educational field trips are an integral part of the learning process. Field trips provide learners with first-hand experience to the topic being discussed in the program. They give real life context to the issues discussed in a classroom setting.
One other facility that the African Institute of Research and Development Studies offers is workshops. In order to provide students with relevant and career-oriented courses, AIRADS holds and participates in workshops. In these workshops. learners can sharpen their skills, engage in discussions and get new points of view. AIRADS encourages interested participants to submit their topics for review by a programme committee. Once approved, the topic will be provided to the participants to give them a background on what will be discussed.
AIRADS has a number of schools of study. These are:
School of Business and Management: The department offers courses at the higher diploma to artisan level. Courses in the School of Business and Management prepares students for employment or entrepreneurship in the world of business. The African Institute of Research and Development Studies not only offers training but also manufactures products that they deem valuable in the market.
School of Education: AIRADS as a TVETA institution provides students with the environment to sharpen their skills and tackle any challenge that may arise professionally.
School of Engineering, Information Technology and Media Studies: The school registers mass innovation, creativity and advancements in each of the fields. The African Institute of Research and Development Studies offers students a diverse environment to understand engineering techniques and inculcate learners into the competitive Information Technology world.
School of Health and Social Sciences: The School of Health and Social Sciences has grown greatly since its inception in 2006. Objectives of the school are to compete for research and development objectives, provide quality teaching and learning to students at all levels and present research papers in conferences and seminars.
School of Tourism and Hospitality: The AIRADS School of Hospitality provides students with the relevant facilities to improve their learning experience.
School of Beauty: AIRADS is committed to give the most advanced and technical skills in this department. Beauty therapy courses are practical and comprehensive.
