The International University of Professional Studies (IUPS) was established in 1988, with the aim of creating a learning centre for students that offered traditional educational values and acted as a preserver and disseminator of knowledge, as well as a centre of research that benefitted the planet scientifically and humanely, while enhancing these values with transpersonal orientation (the integration of cognitive, affective, physiological and spiritual dimensions). The institution utilises a relatively non-traditional, yet highly respected, long distance delivery system for its courses to allow students to remain at home and continue their present employment, family, and/or other responsibilities. Through recent technological advances, the University now offers group conferences, student advisement and technical support, access to worldwide libraries, guest faculty presentations, and discussions, to all students wherever they may be located around the world. 

For the past thirty years, IUPS has been on the cutting-edge of education, and to this end, they offer groundbreaking doctoral programs such as Professional Coaching & Human Development, Expressive Art Therapy, Transformational Education, and many more, to prepare students with the necessary foundation and skills they require in order to have the greatest potential to succeed. The high academic standards of IUPS are comparable to those of fully accredited universities, however the institution creates a great deal more flexibility to the students they serve and are proud to offer customised, self-paced, and mentor-based study plans for each individual learner.
