The Catherine McAuley School of Nursing is a nursing college located at Mater Hospital in Kenya. The school was named after Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy. In September 2004, the school responded to the ever growing demands and nursing needs in the country and began training Kenya Registered Nurses. Over the years, the nursing college has been dedicated to providing high quality and affordable nursing education in a visionary learning environment that is uniquely responsive to serving the students of Kenya and beyond. In addition, the school supports curricula that fosters a commitment to life long learning, critical inquiry through experiential learning, scholarship, civic engagement and community partnerships. 

Using highly qualified faculty and staff, state-of-the-art classroom and lab facilities, as well as crucial clinical experiences, students are able to train to successfully license in their profession, as well as further their education and knowledge. Taking a unique multidisciplinary approach in each course, the school is committed to preparing nurses for leadership as clinicians, scientists, and educators who reflect and care for a diverse society, and have the confidence and skills to improve the health of individuals, families and communities.
