Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), also referred to as Jomo Kenyatta University, is one the top ranking universities in Kenya. Established in 1981, the university is one of the best higher education institutions in Kenya; providing diploma certificates, undergraduate degrees and post-graduate degrees across a wide range of university programmes and courses. They are the university of choice for many Kenyan nationals, international students and researchers.
So what makes JKUAT one of the best universities in Kenya? To start, they were ranked as one of the world’s leading institutions of higher learning by Webometrics, as well as the third best university in Kenya. While on the other academic side, having one of their medical students awarded by the US based Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), as the winner of the Students Projects for Health Competition, for his community initiative that sought to address the burden of malnutrition among children enrolled in early childhood development centers in Kenya.
As Jomo Kenyatta university motto heralds, their institution sets the trend in Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Aside from the achievements mentioned above, this can also be seen across the years, where Jomo Kenyatta University has been awarded millions in research grants to facilitate training, research, science, technology and innovation.
