To be eligible for this course, students require either:
- A KCSE Minimum Grade of C+ from at least seven subjects drawn from subject groupings as specified by the KNEC or the equivalent.
- A certificate from a recognised institution with a 'Credit' pass or higher, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution in a relevant field of specialisation.

To apply for this course, students must:
- Duly fill out an application form.
- Provide copies of their National ID/Passport/Birth Certificate and relevant education certificates
- Submit a non-refundable application fee of 2,000 KES

Detailed course information
This course is taken on-campus at Egerton University. To qualify for the Bachelor degree, students must take and pass all the prescribed courses of study within the programme. Unless otherwise stated:
- All programmes must be examined through continuous assessment, which comprises of a total of 30%
- The final examination accounts for a total of 70% of the course.
Furthermore, the programme takes an equivalent of four academic years which are composed of two semesters each of 15 teaching weeks and one week of examinations.
