MSc. Crop Protection Master/MBA

The breadth and scope of knowledge needed for crop protection sales and advice grows every year. New products, new techniques and the way that crop protection fits with other farm and crop management activities all add to the skills needed by those involved in sales and advice for Crop Protection. The MSc crop protection program trains to manage a wide variety of plant problems which are detrimental to agricultural production. The graduate gets opportunity to broaden their scientific knowledge in crop protection as they gain efficient and effective technologies for the sustainable management of crop pests and other areas of crop protection.
Agriculture which is the main economic activity in Kenya is often faced with the major challenge of reducing crop losses from diseases, pests and weeds while safeguarding the environment. This has resulted in a large proportion of crop production expenses going to crop protection activities. The M.Sc. Crop Protection Program has been designed to help meet the great demand for scientific expertise, in developing and applying appropriate crop protection practices to enhance crop production, crop quality and environmental protection.
