Admission Criteria

For admission/eligibility into the above programme, a candidate must satisfy any of the following minimum requirements:

Either
  • Be a holder of a Bachelor of Education and Counseling degree of KEMU or Bachelor of Education degree from any other recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 3.00 or its equivalent. 

Or 
  • Be a holder of Bachelor Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Second Class Honours, Upper Division with a postgraduate diploma in education from a recognized institution. 

Or 
  • Be a holder of Bachelor of Education Arts or Science and Second Class (Lower Division) with at least 2 years relevant experience may be admitted provisionally. 

Alternatively, provisional admission will be given to holders of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with a Second Class Honours (Lower Divison) but with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education/Guidance and Counseling/Counseling. 

Or

  • Be a holder of B.A/BSc. (2nd class upper division) with a Post-graduate diploma in education of KEMU or from any other recognized institution of higher learning. or; 
  • A candidate who is admitted provisionally will be expected to attain a minimum GPA of 2.75 during the rst University
