Course in Information Technology

Kenya Institute Of Business And Counselling Studies’ Information Technology Programme is offered by the School of Business, Accountancy, Languages and Technical Courses. The course focuses on providing visually impaired students with a broad base knowledge of the basics of computer architecture and the basics of software and computing. 

The Information Technology Programme is designed to include the understanding of operating systems environments, code development, circuit design and security of data. The programme provides students with an opportunity to explore the concepts, techniques and methods pertaining to the study of Computer and IT. Students also gain an understanding of what a career in the IT sector entails. 

After successful completion of the course, the learners will be able to take up roles in the IT and the Corporate Sector. Graduates of the Information Technology Programme go on to become Computer Service Technicians, Cyber Security Specialists, Data Analysts and Data Scientists. Strong ethical principles, good interpersonal communication values and problem-solving skills are some of the expected outcomes of learning this course.
